Recover and Replace Existing Resources in Azure

Recover and Replace Existing Resources in Azure

During recovery in Azure, the “Override resource dependencies” option if selected will override all the dependencies of the selected resources.

While the override option is enabled, and if a Virtual machine or VMSS under a Resource group is selected for recovery,

  • The Load balancer and the Application Gateway associated with them will be automatically recreated (overridden) with the configuration at the time of protection and the recovered VM or VMSS will be attached to its backend during the same region recovery.

  •  The Network Security Group and Route table associated with them will be recreated (overridden) with the configuration at the time of protection and will be used by the recovered VM or VMSS.
