Connect to an Azure Account
For onboarding the Azure account in Appranix, the following details and a few roles and permissions in Azure are supposed to be enabled.

1. Tenant ID - Azure account tenant ID
2. Subscription ID - Azure account’s Subscription ID that you want to protect
3. Application Administrator privilege to register Appranix Enterprise Application as a service principal
4. The Object ID of the registered Appranix Application

Click the url link to register the application (https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/oauth2/authorize?client_id=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxa789&response_type=code)
Select the “Accept” option to approve the permission request.
Once the request is approved to register in the tenant, the application will be displayed in the Enterprise application.
Assign the list of required permissions to the Appranix application. User Access Administrator privilege is needed to assign the list of Roles and permissions for discovery, protection, and restore operation.
Note: The permission provided in the above sheet may increase as Appranix adds more services for protection.
Appranix requires a way to be authenticated and authorized to connect to the customer Azure account to provide resilience for their cloud application environment.
To enable access, proceed with the following steps.
Navigate to “Cloud Connections” and click “Add Cloud Connection.”
Fill in the Name & the Description for the connection, choosing Azure as the cloud provider
Provide the Azure account “Tenant Id” and click “REGISTER” to register the Appranix application.
Select the “Accept” option to approve the permission request.
Once the request is approved to register in the tenant, the application will be displayed in the Enterprise application

In the Appranix Cloud Connection, provide the Azure authentication details, Azure account’s “Subscription ID” that you want to protect, and the “Object ID” of the registered Appranix Application
Select the primary region and switch on the toggle button to allow cross-region recovery.
Select the required recovery regions from the provided list of regions.
Add the Azure services by choosing “ADD SERVICES.”
Select “CONNECT CLOUD” and wait for the cloud connection discovery sync to complete to see the discovered resources.
If you have technical challenges in the above step, you may have problems with one or more of the following items.
An incorrect value was provided in the Azure Authentication details
There is a network outage or Azure response delay that may cause the discovery to delay longer due to Exponential Backoff
